This project involved the restoration of approximately 40 metres of stainless steel balcony railings on a large residential development. Our client required a consistent architectural finish across all balcony sections following surface preparation and recoating works. The restoration demanded careful workmanship to achieve a uniform appearance while preserving the integrity of the stainless steel.
The stainless steel balcony railings extended across approximately 40 metres of the development and displayed an inconsistent appearance following years of exposure and previous surface treatment. Areas of the handrails and balustrades showed surface marking, uneven finishes and contamination that prevented a uniform architectural appearance.
As part of a wider refurbishment programme, the client required the stainless steel to complement the newly prepared and recoated steelwork. Achieving a consistent finish across every balcony section demanded careful preparation, attention to detail and a methodical restoration process. Working over an extended balcony elevation also required an organised approach to maintain quality and continuity from start to finish.
